Ingredients

Ramequins

  • fig syrup
  • tirokafteri (spicy feta dip)
  • hummus
  • kalamata olives
  • cerignola olives

Cheeses

  • fresh mozzarella balls
  • dill havarti
  • romano

Meats

  • truffle salami
  • smoked sardines

Fresh Fruits & Veggies

  • green grapes
  • lemon slices
  • cherry tomatoes
  • Persian cucumber

Fresh Herbs

  • fresh dill
  • fresh basil

Fillers

  • stuffed grape leaves

Instructions

  • Start assembling the board by placing ramekins with ingredients such as syrups, spreads, dips, olives, pickles, etc.
  • Next, add the cheeses and fresh veggies.
  • Lay down the meats and fresh fruits.
  • Finish off the board with your fresh herbs & fillers, using them to reinforce any empty spaces on the board.
  • Serve alongside bread and crackers.

Notes

  • Consider creative ways of presenting ingredients, such as making skewers, or topping with herbs and spices.
  • Place fresh herbs like dill and basil around oily foods like sardines, dolmades, etc. because they will help absorb excess oil.
  • Try to include a mix of both savory and sweet flavors.
  • Always add the fillers last (nuts, seeds, etc) so you can use them to fill in the gaps, making it look fuller and more complete.
  • Try to include at least 2 ingredients from every category so you have a balanced board with variety.
